HTC Desire Factory Reset

I upgraded my Phone to a Samsung Galaxy S2 recently and so I wanted to reset my HTC Desire. Well, it wasn't quite so easy and the only way to remove my Google Account details from the phone was to do a full reset.

The hard reset (turning the phone off then on and pressing the volume key) didn't work. There was no privacy option in the Settings menu either. So how on earth do you reset it?

Eventually after an hour or two I found it under "Phone and SD Storage" (or SD and Phone Storage) option.

It probably due to the fact I upgraded to Gingerbread (HTC removed some options due to memory issues).

Final note - the S2 is a pretty sweet phone.
